How does it work to become a member of the partnership?

You become a member of  The Classics partnership. You will jointly own a racehorse and participate in all of the excitement, thrills and passion of racehorse ownership. You may visit the yards and meet the trainers, discuss  progress, and go the to your races as an owner! You will make new friends in the racing world and maybe even get some good tips!

You will also get to partake of partnership hospitality days at famous yards and any open days as a guest of the trainers and of course you can bring a guest yourself.

How many people are there in each partnership and how is it managed?

This may  vary from horse to horse.  All racehorse partnership members receive direct communication from The Cla ssics Partnership Manager. This is done by home phone, fax or e-mail. Also, the Partnership Manager will be contactable by telephone between 9 am and 5 pm during the weekdays.

Who buys the horses?

Initially, our star trainers Brian Meehan, Charlie Mann, Simon Dow, Richard Hannon  and Sylvester Kirk buy  all the horses.

How successful are they?

Brian Meehan, Charlie Mann, Simon Dow, Richard Hannon  and Sylvester Kirk are all renowned trainers and long-standing pillars of the racing establishment. Why not look them up on their web sites at www.brianmeehan.co.uk, www.charliemann.co.uk, www.simondow.co.uk, www.richardhannonracing.tv and www.sylvesterkirkracing.com.

Who trains the horses?

The horses will be trained by  Brian Meehan, Charlie Mann, Simon Dow, Richard Hannon  and Sylvester Kirk alongside all their other bloodstock.

Where do we see the horses?

Each trainer will be delighted to see you at their facilities  with prior agreement.  Brian Meehan, Charlie Mann, Simon Dow, Richard Hannon  and Sylvester Kirk’s  horses are stabled at their own yards respectively.

Can we see the horses being trained?

Yes. Of course, it's coordinated with the trainers and the yards but Brian Meehan, Charlie Mann, Simon Dow, Richard Hannon  and Sylvester Kirk  will be really pleased to accommodate you by prior appointment at the yards. They will give you a tour and let you share in the whole experience, including time at the gallops. You'll get to know the staff and if at any races you'll be able to discuss the race and the horse with the jockey and the trainer.

How do I know when my horse is running?

Owners are kept fully informed as to the progress and running plans of their bloodstock. This is done through email, fax and, most importantly, by personal communication on the telephone by the partnership manager.

What happens on race day?

The partnership manager will organise for two owners' badges to be collected from the owners' entrance. Owners have access to the paddock and the parade ring and pre-parade rings to meet the jockey before the race. You will also be able to use the Owners' and Trainers' Car Park. You'll also have access to the Owners and Trainers bars or viewing areas and the winners enclosure if the horse wins or is placed. Your race day owner's badges will be waiting for you when you arrive.

What makes us different to other partnerships ?

We will also arrange for the trainers to make sure that you are introduced to the wonderful world of National Hunt and Flat racing and thoroughbred ownership and made very welcome. They'll make sure that your race day experience and visits to the yards are personalised and enjoyable.

Why a Partnership ?

The Classic Partnership membership is lots of fun and a great social experience; you share the thrill and passion of bloodstock ownership with other like-minded people from all walks of  life.
